"Forrest, when the Treasure Chest is found, would you prefer the finder not disclose the exact resting spot? Curious. ~ Afana..."

>>>>
My own curiosity: Afana refers to the location of the Treasure Chest as "the exact resting spot"...that is, "resting spot" and not location or, simply, spot.

Another curiosity: Who is Afana? Could it be someone who is "a fan a" (a fan of) the person who solved the poem?

You got me to read it again.

Also interesting how they refer to the exact spot and he responds "in the field" as opposed to simply "freshly cut alfalfa." What field?

Afana is the one that swiped the chest. She/he is playing coy.

RE: MW 5/11/18
A person named Afana has actually been an occasional poster on Dal's site over the past 2 years or so. So, it's unlikely that f made up the name for it's meaning. I do think it's more likely that f loved the wordplay using the name to be "a fan a", meaning "a fan of". Perhaps he chose when to release this question and answer at this time for a reason. If he's using it this way, what is he implying he is "a fan a" of? alfalfa, Alfalfa (and his club), a field? Possibly something else?

Like almost everything in this hunt, we really can't be sure of much, and can only go with our best guesses. This results in lots of "possibles", "perhaps's" and "maybe's". Be wary of definitive statements until that darned chest is found.

Oh, yes I forgot....add "imo" to that list of qualifiers. imo.

So, the question becomes, "Did Afana ask the question?"

RE: MW 5/11/18
(IMO) I just can't understand why someone would even think that the name "Afana" and F's response to her name would contribute anything to solving the clues.

It could be a hint to the movie "The little rascals" when Alfalfa got his first kiss and his hair got a boner (I am not sure if I can say this here, please be forgiving!) Smile
Here is the link! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DN3Zp8EbJc

It could also mean "Alpha Alpha" and therefore the opposite of the double omegas.

You could find hundreds of interpretations of this single quote, but why don't you focus your energies on the poem and "it's" different meanings?

I am sorry if I sound rude, but when I am reading something like this, I feel like that this is the exact reason why nobody found the treasure until now.

"...the exact reason why nobody found the treasure until now..."

"UNTIL NOW" -- do you mean that someone has found the treasure?

RE: MW 5/11/18
Speaking of hay and barns, have many ventured to Barns Holes? Don't recall reading about it on here: http://flyfishyellowstone.blogspot.com/2...h.html?m=1

But now methinks the start point is the border of Stillwater and Park at the end of the beaten path trail... which would mean it can't be on warm creek. While alfalfa is a legume, FF may have been hinting at Sweet Grass County which is in the middle of Stillwater County and Park County.
