LOL! That's great, Santa Fe! I'd trade two future draft picks and a blaze to be named later to get you on my team! Seeker, I've got an old Willys jeep in the garage just waiting on me to give up this chase and start turning wrenches on it. Someday...

Yep, those Willys Jeeps during WWII & Korea could even be disassembled, carried over mountains in pieces, and then reassembled on the other side...

Dr. Taylor Floyd of Albuquerque
This https://books.google.com/books?id=PmyR-r...er&f=false

I think lays to rest any suspicion that the elder Taylor Floyd was too old to be practicing surgery in 1988. The link goes to a google book and describes being treated (surgically) for cancer by Taylor Floyd in 1996. Taylor had a son named Taylor Floyd, Jr.. Somewhere in the thread someone said that the son took over the father's practice. I think that is likely false. The father was a cancer surgeon. The son was a urologist. But it looks to me as if Taylor Floyd the oncology surgeon was still performing surgery as late as 1996. I'm a little surprised as I think he died in 2007 at age 89. To be performing surgery in his late seventy's seems improbable. His obituary says he stopped practicing surgery in 1984: http://obits.abqjournal.com/obits/show/175055 but I guess he had an administrative position at St. Joe's in ABQ. It is a unclear to me at this point.

EDIT: I contradict myself in this post. It started out seeming like it laid to res the suspicions about Taylor Floyd but as I dug deeper it got murkier.

Many surgeons and pilots work well into their 60s. Lots of Presidents have been over 70.
