Reverse everything. It might pop something loose.

As we have gone together there

And with my treasures hidden,

I can keep my secret where,

And hint of riches new and old.

End it where warm waters start

And take it in the canyon up,

too far, but not far to walk.

Put in above the home of Brown.

From there it’s every place for the meek,

The start is ever drawing nigh;

There’ll be a paddle up your creek,

Just light loads and water low.

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,

Look quickly up, your quest to begin,

But tarry scant with marvel gaze,

Just leave the chest and stay in peace.

So why is it that I must stay

And take my trove for all to seek?

The answers I do not know,

I once was tired, but no longer weak.

So hear me all and listen good,

Your effort will be worth the heat.

If you are brave and out of the wood

I give you title to the gold.

If you mess with the poem, you'll never solve it correctly.

Regardless of that, please go into the Rockies and enjoy the hike safely.

I like this exercise Andrew. It does seem to reveal a few ideas and motives.
