Chest = Title ?
@will

That is a great way to look at ff's line. Forrest is a metaphor for the chest and says there is something on either side of the chest.

“So I think the chest is between the dog and fire sorta speak”.

My way of looking at ff's line is the same as yours but some what different.

“So I think the chest is between something small and something Large”.

I see the words dog and fire, being used as distraction. ff is a magician who uses words in his act.

Remember Mysterious Writings – Nature Makes Her Own Rules. There is the reference to twin towers. 2 objects once again.

Will, this idea may not fit into your solve but I am happy it fits in mine.

Between two objects. Between a dog and a fire. Between something big and something small. Between twin towers. Or maybe between a rock and a hard place?

The traveling desk he mentions two carvings up both sides that could represent the towers. My solution is a lot different but this line in the poem is my hang up. I feel this is where I'm at in my solution

I might know something about the "title" that I haven't seen anyone touch on, but am cautious in saying anything. I can say this... If I'm right, then 2 other lines in the poem share an association to the "title" line. I feel as if I've already said too much 8O
