Rick this whole thread reminds me of a child that didn't get his way. Your smarter than that, if you can't solve his poem and if you felt that it was to much for you that you should have found another treasure hunt to follow like Where's Waldo or Monopoly at McDonald's would be pretty easy after Fenns poem

If I recall right Fenn isn't getting his way........Why won't that fish take my bread crumbs?

That's really a false friendship. You need to do it and do it my way, that's what he is really saying.

Hay Will find out who those few are and get them to comply with Fenn's demandsSmile

Still working on Fenn's puzzle with a "Yellow Flag" in mind, that's what this whole thread was aboutSmile

I think the fish knows when he will go after the chest, I would say about 6 and 1/2 months when the weather is good.

Hi @tom - sounds like it will be crowded on the trails that week or so. Hope everyone gets their hotel reservations soon! (smile)

The end is ever drawing nigh, 4 to 5 months. Maybe I should start packing my tooth brushes. Q

Rick, interesting about the false friendship.. Especially since the recent "what are friends for, if you can't use them?" comment regarding JB.

To ponder: What would make someone NOT want to pick up a free million dollars?

My thought is, that the closest person to it is scared to death of the thing. Ghost chest, indeed...

Its all a witch hunt and Ashtee is involved, either as the hunter or hunted. Jenn may be involved also. I would give more detail but ask him some questions, be subtle. I think he is cop tech.

RE: Ghost Chest
All this talk reminds me of that old saying:

"Small minds talk about people; mediocre minds talk about events;
great minds talk about ideas."

Of course people are going to complain about other people. This may
be the most common social activity there ever was.

I think it's too boring, compared to discussing the treasure. I believe
it's real, and the solution to the poem is not as complicated or far-out
as people seem to think, or insist on making it.

Now, I don't want to insult Mr. Fenn or imply for one minute that he's
not highly intelligent and very knowledgeable about a wide variety of
subjects. I also believe that he's quite wise. It's hard to live for 85
or more years without gaining a hell of a lot of wisdom, which means
understanding of people . . . which means psychology. No rocket
science needed in any of this. I think Mr. Fenn was being pretty
down-to-earth with his poem, although as he has repeatedly said,
that some imagination is needed to correctly solve the poem. I agree.

Instead of whining about anything relating to the search for the Fenn
treasure, or the treasure itself, I suggest that all folks interested in
finding it use their brains to solve the poem! Yeah, this is much
easier said than done. But a person of average intelligence and
knowledge, who grew up in the United States can do this, in my
opinion. And it could be helpful to think of yourself as someone Fenn's
age (I think he's now about 86, give or take a year) who likes to pretend
that he's still 13 years old (at least the way he thinks). This is a hint
that could play a very important role in solving the poem. At least it did
for me.

Good luck to all searchers. Please stay safe while searching. And
y'all had better "get on the stick", because I plan to head into the
Rockies on my third search trip (to the same location) this summer . . .
and my confidence level in my solve is at LEAST 99.999%. I have
had the same solve since January 2016 (after several hundred hours
of actual effort working on the solve), and the area I plan to physically
search is less than 2 acres in size. I will be looking for the treasure
chest to be not totally buried below ground level, but possibly surrounded
by rocks, or covered by one or more rocks, or possibly just sitting on top
of a rock. And that rock (or those rocks) would be, I believe, kinda dark-grey in color, and kinda slab-like in shape.

I know I seem unpleasantly arrogant. To compensate for my brag-like
behavior, I'll "toss a bone" that I think will help save a lot of wasted
effort and cost for several people if they read this message. Here is
some information that I believe is true -- but not a whole bunch of information, because I don't want anyone to find the TC before I do.

If you think that the "correct" wwwh is where a warm river flows into a colder one, please think again! None of that water halts there. It keeps moving, but some of it changes its direction of movement, and some of
it changes its temperature. No halting (to speak of) happens there.

FF has indicated (in my opinion, anyway) that if you don't know where wwwh, you'll never find the TC. So please, if you don't follow my comments about wwwh, I suggest that you ask a child, or lots of children, or at least lots of other adults what they think is a place (not named, necessarily, but what kind of a place) where warm waters halt. That's "waters" (plural)!

All the above is just my opinion. Yours may differ.
