lol where's Rick. Rick could find something in those newspapers to buy and show that it's depicted in some photograph in one of those old papers and get rich.

Mostly the newspapers had detailed, pretty much stylized drawings. If you want to look for pictures of 'stuff' from the period, look up the steamboat Arabia. Sank near KC on its way to Omaha around 1856, silted in immediately (changing the course of the river) and was dug up from a soybean field in the mid 1980s. Almost everything from the cargo that wasn't salvaged at the time survived in an anaerobic environment, and has been properly preserved/restored.

LOL Thats ok, its a piece that was seized in the raid. Its Anasazi, who made black on white pottery. If you google all the things in the last paragraph you will find connections.
Shhh they aren't listening.

Thanks Deb.. I got it now, finally. Smile

part two of the Dead Dog painting... He traded it and got a painting of some "Fairies dancing around a rock" Only thing I can think of is "Fairy Falls" in Yellowstone...

Not to change subjects.. but they say in travel books "Fairy Falls" is an easy hike... I didn't do it. but if If did, I would definitely take some serious protection that area crosses thru some dense Grizzly habitat!!

RE: Gilbert Gaul Painting or the Dead Dog. painting..
This thread was HUGH a couple years ago but nobody could find any evidence that the painting existed. Probably because it never existed. It may have simply been a misdirection play by Forrest to cover his tracks on something else that may have been a little shady. Anyway, here is probably the only William Gilbert Gaul painting with the title of a dead animal. I hope this brings closure to those who lost sleep over this episode.

You're correct it never existed. The link you posted is dead.
