So Forrest is the teacher. There are millions watching but probably a few hundred thousand in the class. Teacher has put the problem on the board. It's a story problem. It looks like a poem but it's not. It's a puzzle. The students are learning English, Geology, Biology, History, for sure Geography. If you look into any of the Teachers other books your learning Archaeology and Art History. Students are learning more here than they would in college and this doesn't cost anything. The students are really smart but the beauty of this class is...the students have a huge incentive not to show their work to anyone else in the class. So, one student in the class will get an A. But everyone else in the class gets some really nice field trips. Stephanie gets the most field trips, shes like the teachers pet. Dal is the TA. He works for the teacher. Other people who start blogs are trying to become TAs. My question is facetious. I'll give you another. Why would the teacher hide the TC where he already knows the most people are going to be looking? Or how about this one. Would making the class shorter improve the economy of northern NM and WY? Dang it. See now we are learning Economics and Psychology. Whoa...this teacher's good!

I'm missing the point of this thread.

If you believe Fenn hid the treasure, you have two options: you bite the proverbial bullet and search for it, or not. A significantly sized portion of of humanity is not. Personally, I hope it remains that way. The fewer, the better. Call me crazy, but I'm retired and I buy the occasional lottery ticket.

If you believe Fenn did not hide the treasure, you have two options...neither of which includes incredibly long posts questioning your own rationale in the guise of stimulating a relatively useless conversation.

As we used to say in the Army, it ain't my problem. Talk to the chaplain.

Everyone has fears and doubts.

The difference between those whose names we all recall, (the great explorers, and adventurers, the heroes with a thousand faces), and those that history has forgotten, is they have the perseverance, courage and strength to overcome their fears and doubts.

Oh. I almost forgot. There's a key in the olive jar.

Doubts usually have more to do with how your life is going on any singular day than anything else. If you just hold on long enough or take some time away those fade to the background. I dont believe in giving up, do you?

When you tell a bunch of people that something can't be done, some of them get more determined. Like when they told Wilber he would never get Orville off the ground. Like when they told the NVA you'll never beat the US. Like that Newton chump or whoever came up with the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Nobody will believe it until they see it, except the one guy, with enough faith, who builds the first perpetual motion machine. Fair warning though, the oil companies and the banks, they will have some not very nice people over at his shop about an hour after he gets done, not to mention the government. Oh. I almost forgot. The NSA knows whats in the olive jar.

lol. I love conspiracy theorists. I guess I have more faith than most people. You all are underestimating the amount of knowledge and planning that has gone into it. All you have to do to solve this is to listen. You dont need any big degree, you just need common sense , imagination and a sense of fun. Not taking yourself so seriously. Oh and it helps to be interested in literature, arts and words. No math needed.
Shhh they aren't listening.
