On Adventure Way - Mountain Springs Church, where warm waters end. Look at the street names, Woodman Rd., Forest Meadow, Forrest with "me" in the middle.
Horseshoe Rd. It's not in Utah, Idaho, or Nevada (streets)

Street names. That's an interesting idea. Names or numbers. Alone = one, there = three... Etc.

Do you think the street names would be around in a hundred or thousand years

You can discount street names.

Look here: https://bloggedinthewoods.wordpress.com/...nn-emails/

Email Sent to Forrest: Good afternoon Mr. Fenn, I have a hypothetical question: If the U.S. government fell today and all road signs, all government landmarks, and all labels and names removed from existence and maps….would it still be possible to solve the clues in the poem? Assuming of course nothing changed the actual physical landscaping of the Rockies. Basically when you mentioned the chase could last 1000 years, are you assuming so would the U.S. government and their duty to mark landmarks, etc.

FF: I could still go back and get the treasure.

This site also has the best sources for quotes. Provides dates and sources.

Classic Fennspeak, revealing nothing. Of course he could go back & get it - he knows where he put it.

That was brought up in a follow up email. It also pertains to the searchers as well.
Forrest once sent me an email that says a negative person is more likely to get cancer than a positive one. No sure what he meant by that until your response. Don't always look at the negative sides of things.

According to Stephanie, Forrest once told her that the chest is not in a tree but it is surrounded by trees. He then went on to say, of course everything is surrounded by trees if you go out far enough.
I can’t point to where this was passed on to me and I cannot speak for its accuracy. This is how I remember it.
I will say that I have used it cautiously in my own pursuit of the chest.

I don't think the exact email of this conversation has ever surfaced, but it's been passed around enough and Fenn never disputed it that it can probably be taken as accurate.
