"At least 8.25 miles north of Santa Fe"

"At least 8.25 miles north of Santa Fe"
So as most of us know, Fenn never said this directly. He provided a measurement common for landsurveying and when calculated to miles, comes to 8.25.

So is the clue REALLY that it is 8.25 miles north of Santa Fe? We already knew that it was North of Santa Fe before hand but now, out of a vast range of mountains and states, it is 8.25?

For a old man, this must be Too Far to Walk.

I actually heard an interview where Forrest himself says 8.25 miles. It was after others converted the measurement from his original statement though.

He was quit clear that it is at least 8 1/4 miles north of the northern edge of Santa Fe.

RE: "At least 8.25 miles north of Santa Fe"
The point is being missed.

Why is it at least 8.25?

Facts:
Must follow Poem consecutively
Must Be North of Santa Fe; Must be at least 8.25 miles North of Santa Fe

Why 8.25?

Because from Start to Finish of the clues; It will be at least 8.25 miles.

If you must head north from Santa Fe than you must head north by at least 8.25 miles because that is either the distance of the poem, or Too Far to Walk. Either way, it sets a minimum for the length of travel required by the poem.

Pretty sure it was first 66000 links but people did the math and figured it was 8.25 miles. In later interviews, Fenn said 8.25 miles. So it is confirmed at least 8.25 miles.

Correct, the surveying measurement referenced in OP

Do you have a link to a later interview where he did reference this way? I left this Morning and trying to find that on my phone is hard.

RE: "At least 8.25 miles north of Santa Fe"
or 8.25 miles from a high point in FF's elevation when following his winnie the pooh directions to the wise owls house in THE 500 acre WOOD. and 8.25 miles away up under where eeyore likes to kick his hoofs back on hee haw ridge that is to far to walk but not to far to see

we just need to zero in where to get our boots on the ground so we can all take a gander and follow his winnie the pooh directions into the wood

i strongly suspect with coverups that that if you in the know then you know most of the common knowledge about the solves is mis information and anything thats not common knowledge but makes sense should be true especially if is connected to geology and happens 365 days a years like warm waters rising out of the earth then halting and going down a canyon and heavyloads having something to do with lodes i'm thinking it mostly connects off goelogy except where is if marvelgaze = flashlight and tarry scant is starry cant sunlight cant see(could see be a key word?) and possibly the old saying "up ***** creek without a paddle"

also i hate to refference yellowstone buti know the hot spot is spread out and has been studies as the earth moves the hot spot on top changes and one side is new and hotter and other side is dieing anyone ever measure this stuff?

I think Fenn may wonder from time to time if he says too much. Then we're left with two week spurts like the one we have now. He's created a monster and knows that for his family's sake there is only one way to shut it down.

If it's not found before he passes, I'd hate for my lay name to be Fenn. Talk about the crazies coming out of the wood.
They will be too busy being "in the wood"

Well, let's hope that he doesn't shut it down for another 5 months.... Smile

Wouldn't that be cool if he hid it in Hyde Park, just feet away from where everyone will be eating....I wouldn't put it passed him.. Wink
