500 200 foot club
i have noticed some people say they in the 500 or 200 foot clubs so there must be something that tells you this and i wish i was in the 200 foot club but im not

before i got into trouble for horseplay i was posting an image saying it was possible evidence of 500 foot club but i didnt know how i found this until recently

i have no interest in pushing my solve cause it probably is crapola but i would like to leave this incase it will bring everyone to the 500 foot club

i will post 2 links 1 with the 500 foot image and 1 without the only difference is the one that has the 500 foot image has terrain on and notice in bottom right corner says 500 feet but if you zoom in or out it goes away. this only works on google maps classic

https://www.google.com/maps/@43.7037737,...e3!5m1!1e4

https://www.google.com/maps/@43.7037737,...a=!3m1!1e3

im not interested in debating if is a hoax or not i just putting it out there for anyone interested and i will never talk about working on a solve again

thank You for Your time

I know that without a doubt I'm in the 200 mile club because I mapped out everywhere I've been in the Rockies and no place is farther than 200 miles away from my known path. Now I need to reduce down that distance a little and I will have the chest. lol.

No amount of promoting or coercion will make my solve FENN'S SOLVE.
But
We have the same problem Fenn had 7+ years ago....
1. The place must be significant to Fenn
2. The place must be noticeable or distinct
3. The place must fit the poem and Fenn's description

Do you have a better solve than mine??
http://www.fenntreasure.com

Go ahead, post the link to a better solve.
The main reason I have everyone beat is #2

(yeah, I know, everyone has these SPECTACULAR, yet unwritten, unspoken solves that kick my solves' ass, but we can't divulge any of that... so until then, just post the link to a better solve)

re noticeable and/or distinct:

It's not so noticeable that the treasure hunters who were within 200' felt compelled to go to it. Clearly it was special to Fenn; he said that he steals away to it in his reverie. The distance at which it becomes noticeable is under 200'. Whether it would be special/noticeable (in the absence of the chest) to anyone else is an open question.

Hi Decall, I could show you plenty of reasons why I think the chest is not in Wyoming and I'd love to talk about my solution, but there's only one opponent in this game - the one who keeps the secret. What's the point of giving away a perfectly viable solution? What does one win?

I believe it is. The presence of the chest just makes it Forrest's place.

decall i read your solve and sounds pretty good thanks for posting it. the only thing i have trouble with every solve i read is people seem to guess WWWH based on stories and stuff he said in the book when i got my WWWH Crowheart WY just using his Poem and the map FF has. i guess that could be considered a part of the Poem because it is on the same page

i just feeling that picking or guessing WWWH from one of the many stories in the book couldnt be considered Confidently picking a BOTG spot

Crazy, you are way above average around here, JohnB too...
You both have the sense to speak in terms of ideas that work on any solve. It's not necessary to condemn or promote WY. My point is about the essential ingredients to a valid AND worthy solve. (It could be valid but quite boring)
Fenn seems to be clear that you could identify the spot using the poem... this would make an open field etc. very unlikely.
I personally think a good mechanism might be the 24 lines representing a clock. The TC is found lines 2 and 14 (2am, 2pm) think about that for a minute...

Decall, when did you switch to Wyoming. I thought your solve headed ~north from West Yellowstone and that area is in Montana.
