If f only cared about money he wouldn't be such a hoarder. What's your take
on all this Mindy?

He told me he isn't a hoarder after I looked at all his stuff and called him one. Lol. He said he was a "collector." I guess there's a difference. I know he genuinely loves every artifact in his collection, especially the books and letters. He holds them with a tangible reverence. I think he would give away all the gold and artifacts if he could just keephis books. Smile

There were many collectors before Forrest and who do you think bought his stuff?! Who filled the museums with all of those artifacts.

Why is it the museums are not forced to return the artifacts to the rightful Tribes?

Forced by whom? Native Americans continue to be treated like second class citizens. The Dakota pipeline is an excellent example of the disregard propagated by the US government.

Then you have things like the Entrada celebration held annually in Santa Fe. I don't believe we need to hide from the history that surrounds us, but celebrating in the capitol city, a man who killed natives and claimed native land for Spain, is purely, in-your-face disregard for the indigenous people of New Mexico. It is systematic and endorsed by the non-native people.

Forrest knows the law and has done a very good job of documenting his collection.
