Huh? Isn't the world round? And last time I heard, north was up. A ball of yarn has a direction no matter where it's at.

So a ball of string can never get lost?

How can an object have a direction if it's not moving? Unless it has a face/front/back or moves, direction doesn't seem to apply?

Magnetic poles points up but the face of the earth doesn’t point in a direction. The magnetic poles has two directions, north pulls and south pushes that create a negative and positive effect. This process protects the earth from solar winds, radiation and charged particles.

Forrest references Native American art and just like a Indian jar, pot or vase which direction can you tell it’s pointing?

What about a compass? There's an etching in the ground at a rest stop(go in peace...place to park car)....if that's the blaze...it wouldn't point just one direction. This compass which I don't want to say the location as I might revisit it...had to do with the Rocky mountains too. It was a precise location you could see many of them.

At first I would look at the reason the pot was made in the first place and that is to hold something. If it's upside-down then there is no purpose for the pot, therefore it faces up and up is north.

But that’s a matter of perspective I think? I think we are trying to find an object that doesn’t have a directional point since Forrest say the blaze doesn’t have?
Items in the forest that doesn’t really have a direction like rock, rivers, creeks, trees and mountains. There’s probably more and that list doesn’t include man made items.

IMO the blaze is a stone marker/tombstone that is knocked over like My War For Me. Which direction is a knocked down marker facing? Remember Forrest only gave N/S/E/W and not included up or down I believe?

I agree with you but I also think that southeast, northwest, etc. are not north, south east or west. Especially on a compass.

RE: If the blaze doesn't face north, south, east, or west...
So, why wouldn't a blaze be practical to move? And, if it is an actual blaze, I imagine that it wouldn't be facing any direction.

All I'm saying is that I don't believe that the blaze is burning fire....what kind of fire would be burning for 7 years? It isn't facing anything according to Fenn, so I believe that it is an object that is round like a mountain.

Can it be seen in the daytime? Yes..f
Is it a single object? Yes..f

And, And, if we all think that it is some kind of picture/image/writing on a rock, wall, or on a tree or wood of some kind, then it must be facing something, right? (direction)

But, Fenn said that it was a single object, like standing alone by itself, and it wouldn't be practical to move it.....hmmm?

I guess that it could be a pile of rocks in a circle, but why wouldn't they be feasible to move, like it would take too much effort/money to do it.
