Historical marker
Hi Guys-I need help again. I'm trying to find a historical stone marker online and the only thing listed is that I need to gain permission to view the marker. Which is weird because the marker is outside. I can't find anyone to tell me where exactly it's located. How do I find it?

RE: Historical marker
What about a geographical marker? You know, like the ones placed to describe the vista you are viewing from a particular spot. These often include historical data as well.

Yes-I'm looking for a marker on a mountain pass with some info on it about a civil war general. You'd think it would be easier.

Great link thank you. But no, I'm looking for Merritts Pass. It's a road in the Wind River Reservation but the marker mentioned online isn't easily found.

Because it is on the Wind River Indian Reservation, you should deal with tribal authorities and/or tribal records if they are available online.

Copper,

Don't know if this contains what you're looking for but, it is a splendid resource site for Wyoming history.

Correct. Call the council and remember that is their nation, their land.
