But if "your effort will be worth the cold" is a clue, then "So hear me all & listen good" HAS to be a clue also ... because FF said they are contiguous (touching). That's why I have to discount (as clues) everything AFTER the blaze. My 9 clues take me right to the blaze.

So, brubr, do you believe there are clues in the 5th stanza? If "Begin it where warm waters halt" is your first clue & "your effort will be worth the cold" is also a clue of yours ... then EVERYTHING in between those two MUST be clues. Isn't that what contiguous means?

Ah, I see the difference. By "contiguous", I think he means they are touching each other on the ground, not in the poem. I think he has extra lines in the poem that allow the clues to be woven together. Kind of like in a house, not every wall is a load-bearing wall. Some are there to "fill out" the build. So I do not see clues in stanzas #1 or #5, but I do see them everywhere else. And maybe the language is meant to confer title to the chest to the finder as another poster pointed a while ago.

He didn't actually say "The clues are contiguous." His "contiguous" statement was in response the following verbal question at Moby Dick: "Forrest, did you have the nine clues before you wrote the poem? Or did the nine clues appear after the poem?" His answer to that question was: "They're contiguous." It is not unreasonable to infer that he was talking about the clues when he said "They're contiguous." In my opinion, the more natural inference would be that he was simply answering the question. In that view "contiguous" refers to the processes of writing the poem and ending up with nine clues.

No one who has any sense at all is going to reveal their "correct" solve. Why would they? FF once told me: "Becky, you can have one of two things ... your ego or the gold."

@SoulMates4Ever,
Becky has a great point. Here is a perfect example of a searcher that has posted a solve:

I have posted my solution but I didn't post my solve, even though millions of people have seen it.

The most interesting thing I found in that scrapbook was "I have, A wife..."

Made me think about punctuation and a capital A.

Yes, the capital is A... Very good observation.

RE: I give you title to the gold
Just remembered in one of my areas I thought title was a reference to a land mark on a map, which indicates what direction to go once you find the blaze. So if you have been wise and found the blaze, look quickly (with understanding) down (at the map) to finish your quest. If you are brave an in the wood (hint to where the blaze is) then I give you title to the gold. (Find Title on the map and head in that direction and you will find the gold.
