Any chance we could convince you to secede? I'd be happy to sign the papers.

I’d thank since you hate the flag so much and believe the USA is such a terrible place that you’d jump on board if Texas seceded.

Besides secession didn’t go over so well back when the Democrats tried it in 1861.

You don't seem to understand a thang about me.

I know, if only Lincoln had just let the south go. We'd have a lot less problems now.

No I don’t know you. And after the briefest of exchanges I don’t believe I want to know you. Dosnt mean I don’t wish you the best though. Happy hunting!!

Don't knock Texas - without Texas, we'd never have had such a good rationale for the opportunity to seize California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and a good hunk of Utah & Colorado.

If South Carolina had had the sense to occupy Ft. Sumter before Maj. Anderson moved out there from Ft. Moultrie, Lincoln would have had to come up w/ some other way to induce war. He could not leave the lower Mississippi in 'foreign' hands.

Yes the north’s first great victory was maneuvering the south into “shooting first”.
